We’re back from our trip to NH. I’ve got a few photos to work through – here’s one I liked from the latest import off of the Cannon D300. Those prior ones are cell phone pictures.

I was a bit far away with a 50mm (non-zoom) lens. Next time I’ll have to either get a longer lens, or be an annoying dad and run out into the field to take some action shots.

Some times a little pressure helps. On the Monday night ride Dan Streeter was taking pictures. I’d never made it across this log before – my best effort was about 3/4 of the way before I had to bail out. I came around the corner, saw Dan with camera ready, and gave it a whirl.

I rode down to the Ipswich River today. It’s still flooded. I suspect it’s going to take the rest of the week for the trails to dry out, perhaps the weekend as well. I was sorely tempted to ride the boardwalk that was about 3″ under water, but resisted. I did enjoy riding the closed roads – nice to be able to relax and look around.

Just a nice picture of the kids. I just discovered the noise filtering in my new installation of ufraw – works nicely for low-light with my somewhat noisy D300.
